REFLECTIONS ON THE THIRD WEEK OF INTERVENTIONS

Imagen
By the third week of intervention, the research group observed that each class was better prepared than the previous week. Activities and materials were carefully selected to align with the learning objectives and capture the learners' attention. On this occasion, before introducing each new study topic, participants were provided with a brief summary of the previous class. This approach allowed students to connect prior knowledge with new content effectively.      The lesson followed a clear and logical structure, progressing from the explanation of the topic to practice and concluding with a review. This organization maintained a smooth flow, and most students seemed to understand the instructions and objectives. However, additional clarification was occasionally required, suggesting that key steps should be emphasized more clearly in future sessions.      Communication during class was conducted using clear and age-appropriate languag...

First week reflections.

As a team, researchers prepared thoroughly for the first sessions, tailoring the pre-test  and a small questionnaire on Wednesday to gauge students' baseline understanding of the present perfect tense. This allowed us to structure Friday’s introductory lesson .       In the present action-research project, the researchers met on October 25 at 5 p.m. through the Google Meet platform to reflect on the first week of classes given to students of group 3 of Intermediate Intensive English I. In this meeting, the researchers first reflected on the participation of the students and how they could motivate them to join classes through more dynamic activities. On the other hand, the researchers analyzed that in order to motivate the students to participate in classes and carry out the practical activities, the students should be presented with an explanatory video about what they will do during the activity. For example, in the first class, the ...
